The muscarinic acetylcholine receptor belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family and mediates various cellular responses such as adenylate cyclase inhibition, phosphoinositide breakdown and potassium channel modulation through the action of G proteins. The unprocessed precursor has a length of 466aa and a predicted molecular weight of 51.7KD.

Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
ELISA: Detection limit of recombinant GST tagged muscarinic acetylcholine receptor is 0.03ng/ml.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. Aliquot and store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
