Myelin Basic Protein (MBP) |
|
|
Description: Human myelin basic protein (MBP) is a 20.115 Kd protein (186aa) found in myelin of the CNS and PNS. Expressed as an intracellular protein by oligodendrocytes and Schwann cells, MBP aids in the compaction and stability of myelin. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000-1:2000 using 2% paraformaldehyde tissues Immunocytochemistry: 1:1000-1:2000 using 2% paraformaldehyde cells Western Blot: 1:2000-1:5000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1906 IgY, Chicken Pab Rb x Ch I1906-10 IgY, Chicken (HRP) Rb x Ch I1906-12 IgY, Chicken (FITC) Rb x Ch I1906-14 IgY, Chicken (AP) Rb x Ch Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
