Natural Resistance-associated Macrophage Protein 2 (NRAMP 2, Divalent Metal Transporter 1, DMT-1, Divalent Cation Transporter 1, DCT1, DMT1, OK/SW-cl.20, SLC11A2) (Azide Free) |
|
|
Description: The SLC11A2 gene encodes a divalent metal transporter (DMT1), which carries iron, manganese, cobalt, nickel, cadmium, lead, copper, and zinc. DMT1 participates in cellular iron absorption at the luminal surface of the duodenum as well as in other areas of the body (Hubert and Hentze, 2002 [PubMed 12209011]; Ludwiczek et al., 2007 [PubMed 17293870]).[supplied by OMIM] Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (paraffin), and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1ug/ml-3ng/ml Western Blot: 1:500-1:1,000 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
