Designed for use in laboratory scale purification, immobilized protein A agarose based affinity media is used to purify antibodies and Ig-tailed proteins. The combination of rProtein ATM and agarose provide an affinity matrix with high specific Ig binding capacity and the reliability of agarose. Special immobilization chemistry provides an affinity matrix with extremely low protein A leaching and high specific Ig binding capacity.

Human IgG Binding Capacity:
20 2mg hIgG/ml
The capacity for binding human polyclonal IgG is determined in an assay performed in a batch mode, with the IgG loaded at pH 7.4, eluted with 0.2M glycine pH 2.0. The eluate is assayed for protein concentration using a spectrophotometric assay at 280nm.

rProtein A Leakage:
3ng rProtein A/ml
The amount of leaked rProtein A that would contaminate an antibody preparation purified using Protein A, recombinant is measured by an ELISA. The ELISA has a sensitivity of 2ng rProtein A/ml of supernatant, which corresponds to a level of contamination of approx. 2ppm in an eluted antibody.

Application:
Rapid affinity separation of monoclocal antibodies from cell culture supernatant for use in laboratory scale purification.

Stability: High chemical and mechanical stability.
Form: Supplied as a 50% slurry covalently coupled to cross-linked 6% agarose beads, 0.01% thimerosal.
