Basal medium used in various formulations for the cultivation of fastidious organisms including the production of diphtheria toxin.

Certificate of Origin:
The raw animal product used in the manufacturing of Proteose Peptone #3 is derived from casein originating in the USA. During processing of the product, a batch is heated to a minimum of 80C for 1 hour including a minimum of 30 minutes at 105C after addition of enzymes. The product is then dried at a minimum of 140C.
