Source: Recombinant corresponding to human sRANKL expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~20kD (corresponding to the full length of the TNF-like extracellular domain) Biological Activity: ED50 <10ng/ml. The biological activity was determined by measuring the dose-dependent stimulation of IL-8 production by isolated human PBMC’s. sRANKL, also known as ODF, TRANCE and TNF superfamily member 11, is a member of the TNF ligand superfamily. The receptor for sRANKL is RANK (Receptor Activator of NF-KappaB), a member of the TNFR family identified as a dendritic cell membrane protein. sRANKL influences dendritic cells’ ability to stimulate T-cells. Endotoxin: ~0.1ng/ug Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: ~20kD |
Purity: ~98% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC) Concentration: Not determined Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder in 5mM Tris, pH 7.6, and 50mM sodium chloride. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O to 0.1-1mg/ml. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
