Thioredoxin Reductase 1 (TrxR1)
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunoblot Analysis: 1-2ug/ml of this lot detected thioredoxin reductase 1 in RIPA lysates from rat brain microsomal preparation and HeLa cells.
Immunocytochemistry: Has been reported by an independent laboratory to detect thioredoxin reductase 1 in U937 cells stained with DAPI and CMXRos.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Supplied as a liquid in 0.1M Tris-glycine, pH 7.4, 0.15M sodium chloride, 0.05% sodium azide before the addition of glycerol to 30%.
Recognizes thioredoxin reductase 1, Mr 58kD. An additional protein was also detected, Mr ~70kD, that was inhibited by the immunizing peptide. Species Crossreactivity: Rat and human.
