Topoisomerase II (DNA) alpha (DNA Topoisomerase 2 alpha, DNA Topoisomerase II alpha Isozyme, TOP2, TOP2A, TP2A)
Description:
DNA topoisomerase 2 catalyzes the transient breaking and rejoining of double stranded DNA during events such as DNA synthesis and transcription. Two forms of this enzyme exist, alpha and beta. DNA topoisomerase 2 alpha (TOP2A) is localized to chromosome 17 and the beta gene is localized to chromosome 3. At least 4 isoforms of TOP2A are produced by alternate splicing.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
