TGF beta 1 is a member of the larger TGF beta superfamily of cytokines produced by a wide variety of cells that are involved in the regulation of cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, cellular homeostasis and a wide variety of other cellular functions. TGF beta 1 has been shown to regulate the actions of many other growth factors involved in a range of human diseases including renal disease, hepatic disease, heart failure and cardiomyopathies. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa279-390 from human TGF-beta, fused to 6x His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot as a control. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
Source: E. coli Purity: Purified (SDS-PAGE). Concentration: As reported Form: Supplied as a liquid in 25mM Tris-HCl, pH6.8, 50mM DTT, 1% SDS, 0.1% Bromophenol Blue, 2.5% glycerol. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
