Troponin T, Cardiac (cTnT)
Troponin T is a thin filament regulatory protein of striated muscle that binds to troponin C and I and to tropomyosin and is required for calcium-dependent ATPase activity of myofibrillar proteins. It is important in proper muscle function and myofibril formation. In the human heart, four cTnT isoforms are expressed in a developmentally regulated manner. This expression in the human heart is affected by heart failure.

Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoaffinity Purification and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recognizes human cardiac Troponin T. Recognizes an epitope between aa60-70. Does not crossreact with human skeletal Troponin T. Species Crossreactivity: Bovine and chicken. Does not react with canine, feline, fish, porcine, mouse, goat, rabbit or rat.
