Wnt-5a (Protein Wnt-5a, Wnt5a, Wnt-5) |
|
|
Description: Wnt-5a is a 49kD glycoprotein member of the Wnt family of developmental proteins. It is considered a class 3 Wnt based on its lack of transforming activity on C57MG cells. Genetic deletion of Wnt-5a interferes with developmental proximal-distal outgrowth of limbs and other structures. Wnt-5a can activate or inhibit b-catenin signaling depending on receptor context. Mature mouse Wnt-5a is a 342aa protein that contains 24 cysteines and four potential N-linked glycosylation sites. Mature mouse, rat and human Wnt-5a share 99% aa identity. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, ELISA, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: 25ug/ml Western Blot: 2ug/ml ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
