LRRC16A binds CAPZA2 with high affinity and significantly decreases CAPZA2 affinity for actin barbed ends. Increases the rate of elongation from seeds in the presence of CAPZA2, however, seems unable to nucleate filaments. Rapidly uncaps barbed ends capped by CAPZA2 and enhances barbed-end actin polymerization (By similarity).

Applications

Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilution

Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 1152-1178 in the C-terminal region of human LRRC16A.

Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.

Purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
