COL17A1, BP180, BPAG2, Collagen alpha-1(XVII) chain, 180kD bullous pemphigoid antigen 2, Bullous pemphigoid antigen 2, 120kD linear IgA disease antigen, 120kD linear IgA dermatosis antigen, Linear IgA disease antigen 1, 97kD linear IgA disease antigen, 97kD linear IgA bullous dermatosis antigen, Linear IgA bullous disease antigen of 97kD

COL17A1 encodes the alpha chain of type XVII collagen. Unlike most collagens, collagen XVII is a transmembrane protein. Collagen XVII is a structural component of hemidesmosomes, multiprotein complexes at the dermal-epidermal basement membrane zone that mediate adhesion of keratinocytes to the underlying membrane.

Applications
Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot. Other potential application, though not tested is Direct Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 475-504 in the central region of human COL17A1
