Probable serine carboxypeptidase CPVL is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CPVL gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a carboxypeptidase and bears strong sequence similarity to serine carboxypeptidases. Carboxypeptidases are a large class of proteases that act to cleave a single amino acid from the carboxy termini of proteins or peptides. The exact function of this protein, however, has not been determined. At least two alternatively spliced transcripts which encode the same protein have been observed.

Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, FLISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.

Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Full length recombinant corresponding to aa1-477 from human CPVL (AAH16838) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
