Complement component 8 is a protein involved in the complement system. A hereditary deficiency of C8 can result in increased susceptibility to Neisseria infections, such as meningitis and gonorrhea.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunodiffusion. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:64,000-1:128,000 Western Blot: 1:32,000-1:64,000 Immunodiffusion: 1:32 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
