EMR1 (EGF-like module containing, mucin-like, hormone receptor-like 1). EMR1 is a seven-span transmembrane protein which is a member of the EGF-TM7 family of receptors. EMR1 is the human ortholog of murine F4/80 but unlike F4/80, the expression of EMR1 in humans is restricted to eosinophils and is not expressed on macrophage populations. The detailed structure and function of EMR1 is still unknown.
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma
Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Fibroblast cell line ARH102 expressing CD97-EMR1 (EGF1-6).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. Labeled with Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC).
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human EMR1.
