MaxLight™650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000.
Recognizes an epitope between amino acid residues 6-57 within the N-terminal (NT) region of Tropomodulin 1 (Tmod1), otherwise known as erythrocyte tropomodulin (E-Tmod).
Tmod1 is a sarcomeric protein highly expressed by erythrocytes, heart and skeletal muscle, which binds to and caps pointed ends of actin filaments to prevent thin filament elongation. The binding of the N-terminal region of Tmod1 with the actin-binding protein tropomyosin blocks the elongation and depolymerization of actin filaments, contributing to the geometry of the membrane skeleton.
Functionally inhibits the binding of Tmod1 to tropomyosin.
Applications
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, FLISA, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
