RPS6KA4 (ribosomal protein S6 kinase A4) encodes a member of the RSK (ribosomal S6 kinase) family of serine/threonine kinases. This kinase contains 2 non-identical kinase catalytic domains and phosphorylates various substrates, including CREB1 and ATF1. The encoded protein can also phosphorylate histone H3 to regulate certain inflammatory genes. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for RPS6KA4.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:100-1:300 ELISA: 1:40,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Synthetic peptide corresponding to human MSK2 around the phosphorylation site of Thr568.

Specificity
