Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:20,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma
3X63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Culture Medium
RPMI 1640 with 10% fetal calf serum
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Biotinylated denatured ovalbumin.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.5M sodium chloride, 15mM sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography from culture supernatant.
Specificity
Recognizes and reacts strongly with biotin. Strong reaction is seen in ELISA with biotin/OA directly coated onto the microtiter well, also when tested in sandwich ELISA in combination with streptavidin. In Western blot, after SDS-PAGE, reacts with biotinylated proteins in both reduced and non-reduced forms.
