FLIP, also known as CASP8 and FADD-like apoptosis regulator (CFLAR), contains two death effector domains (DEDs) and a caspase-like domain. FLIP may play a crucial role between cell survival and cell death pathway in mammalian cells and interacts with adapter protein FADD and caspase-8 and -10, and potently inhibits apoptosis induced by all known death receptors DR3 (death receptor 3), TRAIL-R (TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand receptor) and TNFR1 (tumor necrosis factor receptor 1).

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:500 Western Blot: 1:500-1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma
F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant human FLIP protein, expressed in E. coli.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human FLIP (1-376aa).
