MaxLight™550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (550nm); Emission (575nm); Extinction Coefficient 150,000.

The ligand for CD28 is CD80 (B7) which is found on activated B cells suggesting a role for CD28 in T and B cell interaction.
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, T cell proliferation and in cell stimulation studies where it has been suggested that measuring T cell function in HIV infected asymptomatic patients may be an early indicator of AIDS, independent of CD4+ cell counts. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma
Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Human T lymphocytes
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with MaxLight™550.
Purity
Purified by ion exchange chromatography following ammonium sulfate precipitation.
Specificity
Recognizes the 44kD antigen found on a sub-population of T-cells and activated B cells. These CD28+ CD8 cells are now known to be cytotoxic T-cell precursors. Will induce the proliferation of resting T lymphocytes. Does not react with B cells, granulocytes or monocytes. Does not crossreact with canine.
