Human CD79b is the B cell antigen receptor Igb chain (BCR-Igb) which associates with B cell antigen receptor Iga chain to form a functional heterodimer that interacts with membrane immunoglobulin (mIg). The mIgM component binds antigen and the Iga/Igb heterodimer transduces signals.

Functional Application: Antibody is able to induce signal transduction in B cells.
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only pror to immediate use. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity.
Immunogen
Membrane preparation of human B prolymphocytic leukemia cells
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.2% BSA, 0.05% sodium azide, 15% glycerol. Labeled with R-Phycoerythrin (PE).
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes the extracellular part of the BCR complex beta chain (CD79b) which has a molecular weight of approximately 38kD.
