The Cks proteins are components of the cyclin-dependent kinase(CDK)/cyclin complexes that regulate mitosis. Thus, Cks proteins play important roles during the cell cycle1. Cks2 belongs to the highly conserved Suc1/Cks family of proteins that can bind to certain CDKs and are required for cell-cycle progression. Cks proteins may regulate the catalytic activity of the cdk2/cyclin A complex, as they have been shown to inhibit the activation of cdk2. The Cks2 gene has been localized to 9q22, which places it close to a putative tumor suppressor locus.

Applications
Suitable for use in FLISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
FLISA: 0.1-1ug/ml Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 1-3ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control
CKS2 transfected cells and HeLa cells
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human Cks2.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservatives added. Labeled with MaxLight™550.
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human Cks2. Does not crossreact with CKS1.
