MaxLight™ 650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000.

Connexin 30.3 (Cx30.3) is expressed in the rat kidney, the theca interna and the granulose cell compartment of the porcine ovarian follicle. Mutation of the gene for Cx30. has been tied to Erythrokeratodermia Variabilis (EKV), an autosomal dominant keratinization disorder characterized by migratory erythematous lesions and fixed keratotic plaques. Mutations in Cx30.3 are also involved in hearing impairment.
Applications
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot and Immunofluorescence. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 2ug/ml Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml Immunofluorescence: 2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™650 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to the internal region of the mouse connexin 30.3 protein.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservatives added. Labeled with MaxLight™650.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes the ~30kD mouse connexin 30.3 protein. Bands of unknown origins are observed at ~45kD, ~60kD, and between 70-90kD. Reactivity has been confirmed with mouse skin homogenates.
