Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Detected monomethylated Histone H3 in acid extracted proteins from HeLa cells, but did not detect unmethylated recombinant Histone H3. Recombinant Histone H3 and acid extracts from HeLa cells were resolved by electrophoresis. transferred to nitrocellulose amd probed with H5110-11G (0.2mg/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Synthetic 2X-branched peptide containing the sequence |…ARmeKST… in which meK corresponds to monomethyl-lysine at|residue 9 of human Histone H3 (KLH).

Supplied as a liquid in 0.1M Tris-glycine, pH 7.4, 0.105M sodium chloride, 0.035% sodium azide before the addition of glycerol to 30%.

Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.

Recognizes human monomethylated Histone H3 (Lys9), Mr ~17kD. Species Crossreactivity: mouse and chicken. Broad species crossreactivity is expected based on sequence homology.
