Nectin-1, also called PVRL1, PRR1, Vec C, CD111, HveC and HigR, is an adhesion molecule widely expressed in cell lines of different lineages, including hematopoietic cells, neuronal cells, endothelial and epithelial cells. Nectin-1 belongs to a new family of immunoglobulin-like molecules that includes four members (Nectin-1, -2, -3 and CD155). Nectin-1 gene is localized to human chromosome 11q23-q24, and encodes at least two different transmembrane isoforms. Nectin-1 is a pan alpha herpes virus entry receptor that mediates entry of many HSV1 and HSV-2 strains, bovine Herpes virus1 (BHV-1) and porcine pseudorabies virus (PRV).
Applications
Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot, Flow Cytometry and FLISA. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Immunoprecipitation (Native): 5-10ug/reaction Western Blot: 0.1-1ug/ml Flow Cytometry: 5-10ug/ml FLISA: 0.1-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Recombinant human Nectin-1 protein.

Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservatives added. Labeled with R-Phycoerythrin (PE).
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography
Specificity
Recognizes human nectin-1 protein at ~75kD. Reactivity has been confirmed with SY5Y human neuroblastoma cells in Western Blot, and M3A cells (CHO cells constitutively expressing human Nectin-1, in Flow Cytometry).
