This gene encodes a protein involved in the regulation of transcription factors involved in MAP kinase signaling. The symbol MIZ1 has also been associated with ZBTB17 which is a different gene located on chromosome 1. Two alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms have been described.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:8000 Immunohistochemistry: 3-5ug/ml In paraffin embedded Human Testis shows nuclear and extra-nuclear staining in spermatids. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to KEAMKVSSQPCTKIE, from the internal region of human PIAS2 (NP_775298.1; NP_004662.2).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by peptide affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human PIAS2. Species sequence homology: mouse, rat, canine.|This antibody is expected to recognise both reported isoforms (NP_775298.1 and NP_004662.2). No cross-reactivity expected with PIAS1, 3 and 4.
