Unlike germ cell tumors, PLAP-positive somatic cell tumors uniformly express epithelial membrane antigen (EMA).

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA. Not suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: Coating antibody Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

HEp-2 cells expressing Placental Alkaline Phosphatase (PLAP). MW of Antigen: 60-70kD. Cellular Localization: Cell membrane.

Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4. No preservatives or stablizing proteins added. Also available with BSA and azide. See P4071-16D.

Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human placental alkaline phosphatase (PLAP). Useful in the identification of germ cell tumors.
