Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, RIA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin and frozen sections Immunocytochemistry: 1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Using conjugated SDMA (KLH), antibody specificity was performed with an ELISA test by competition experiments with the following compounds
Compound : Cross-reactivity ratio(a) SDMA-BSA: 1 ADMA-BSA: 1: >100 NDMA-BSA: 1: >100 L-Arginine-BSA: 1: >5000
(a) SDMA-BSA concentration/unconjugated or conjugated amino acids concentration at half displacement
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Symmetric Dimethylarginine (SDMA) conjugated to KLH.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitute with 20ul sterile ddH2O.
Specificity
Recognizes SDMA (Symmetric Dimethylarginine). See additional crossreactivity data.
