The Dopamine D2 Receptor is one of the five types (D1 to D5) of receptors for dopamine. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which inhibit adenylyl cyclase. Two isoforms are reported for the D2 Dopamine Receptor, isoform 1 and isoform 2 which are expressed in the pituitary and brain; Isoform 1 is expressed seven times more than isoform 2 in the caudate nucleus.

Suitable for use in ELISA and Antibody Blocking. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
