Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is a small virus which infects humans and some other primate species. AAV is not currently known to cause disease and consequently the virus causes a very mild immune response. AAV belongs to the genus Dependovirus, which in turn belongs to the family Parvoviridae. The virus is a small (20nm) replication-defective, nonenveloped virus. AAV5 is one of 11 known AAV serotypes identified to date.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
