MaxLight™550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (550nm); Emission (575nm); Extinction Coefficient 150,000.

hGH is produced by the somatotroph cells in the pituitary. hGH acts through binding to membrane receptors that belong to the cytokine receptor superfamily. Ligand binding induces receptor dimerization and activation of the receptorassociated kinase: JAK2; this results in phosphorylation of the kinase itself, of the receptor, and of many cellular proteins including the Stat proteins as well as adaptors leading to the activation of the Ras/MAP kinase pathway and of the PI-3 kinase pathway.
MW of Antigen: ~22kD
Epitope: Not determined
Applications and Recommended Dilutions
Western Blotting (Ab 1-2ug/ml for 2hrs at RT) Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin) (Use Ab at 0.2-0.4ug/ml for 30 min at RT) * [Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.] The optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined by the investigator.
Positive Control: Recombinant human growth hormone. Human anterior pituitary
Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at-20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at-20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
