MaxLight™650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000.
GAD65 catalyzes the formation of gamma-aminobutyric acid from L-glutamic acid. It is an autoantigen in type I diabetes and is transiently activated in response to the demand for extra GABA in neurotransmission. It cycles between an active holo form and an inactive apo form. The gene on chromosome 10p12 is a candidate for Human obesity. The cDNA encodes a Mr 65,000 polypeptide, with 585aa residues. The pathogenic role for this enzyme has been identified in the Human pancreas since it has been identified as an autoantibody and an autoreactive T cell target in insulin-dependent diabetes.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™650 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
