MaxLight™ 650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000.

Numerous protein and ribonucleoprotein components are required to catalyze pre-mRNA splicing. The SR proteins are essential splicing factors. They regulate alternative splicing of many pre-mRNAs. Alternative splicing is a major mechanism for controlling expression of cellular and viral genes. SR proteins are a family of highly conserved serine/arginine rich RNA-binding proteins. Nine human SR proteins including SF2/ASF are currently known. Based on primary sequence and on motifs shared with other proteins, human SF2/ASF is a 248aa protein composed of four domains. SF2/ASF exists predominantly or exclusively in a highly phosphorylated state in a majority of cells.
Applications
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Molecular Weight
Calculated MW: 27.7kD Western Blot: ~33kD (Doublet or triplet bands sometimes evident due to phosphorylation differences).
Recommended Control
HeLa cells
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™650 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
