Protein phosphorylation is a fundamental event in the regulation of a large number of intracellular processes. Phosphorylation of specific tyrosine residues is the result of activation or stimulation of their respective protein tyrosine kinases. The phosphorylated proteins can be auto-phosphorylated kinases or certain cellular protein substrates. Tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins are involved in signal transduction and in the regulation of cell proliferation. Antibody to phosphotyrosine provides an excellent tool for the detection, characterization, and purification of phosphotyrosine containing proteins. This monoclonal antibody shows no cross-reaction with other phosphoamino acids and is superb for multiple applications including staining of formalin/paraffin tissues.

Suitable for use in FLISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Flow Cytometry: 0.5-1ug/10e6 cells Immunofluorescence: 1-2ug/ml Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 1-2ug/500ug protein lysate Immunohistochemistry (Frozen & Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1-2ug/ml/30min @ RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

MCF-7, MDA-231, T47-D cells or breast carcinoma

Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™650 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.

Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
