Coupling Ratio
~10-20 moles of biotin per mole gp120.
Specificity
Biotin gp120 MN binds strepavidin(AP) and streptavidin(HRP) in ELISA and Western Blot assays.
Biological Activity
Binds to solid phase CD4 as determined by capture ELISA using strepavidin(HRP) as a secondary reagent.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:2000-1:10,000 depending on the concentration of the test ligand and specificity and sensitivity of the secondary reagents. gp120/CD4 capture ELISA may be performed in 100ng CD4 in solid phase and 0.1-1.0ng of biotin-gp120. Other applications not tested.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography to ≥ 95% purity as determined by SDS-PAGE, reduced.
