ELISA Capture: Useful as a capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA for quantifying mouse GM-CSF protein levels. Purified antibody should be paired with biotinylated antibody (Cat. No. G8951-13C) as the detection antibody, with purified recombinant mouse GM-CSF as the standard. Western Blot: Useful for Western blot applications. For Western blotting, a concentration of 1-5ug/ml (in conjunction with AP-labeled Goat Anti-Rat-Ig) has been found to enable detection of ≤ 100ng/lane of recombinant mouse GM-CSF under reducing conditions.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Yeast-expressed recombinant mouse GM-CSF
Form
Supplied as a liquid in 100mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.0. No preservatives or amine-containing buffer salts added.
